Biography
Saeb Erekat was the Chief Palestinian negotiator in peace talks with Israel for over two decades. Secretary General of the PLO Executive Committee from 2015 until his death in 2020. A key architect of the Oslo Accords and one of the most prominent voices in Palestinian diplomacy on the world stage. Born in Abu Dis near Jerusalem in 1955, Erekat was a professor of political science before entering diplomacy.
